It's true, the furballs have gone furry-mad over snow! As we posted before, we've gotten a few snowfalls here and there but tonight there was enough to play in. Boy did the furballs play! Now you all know that I'm the smart one so when I saw the white stuff coming down, I wouldn't even step a paw outside the door. The furballs (minus Cha-Ching of course) were out the door in a flash and making kitty angels in the snow (and using it as substitute litter - Smoke discovered that you can "cover" with it as well as the indoor-kind of litter). So enjoy these "snow pics" of our snow babies:

Seven Random Fact About Me
I was tagged for this meme by my friend Halloween. I think I've done it before so I'll spill the beans on the furballs:
1. Cha-Ching is wildly attached to his good buddy Smoke. Okay so you probably already knew this from all the pictures of them practically glued together, but did you know that Cha-Ching will actually wander from room to room looking and calling out for his buddy if Smoke has gone off on his own?
2. Also on that vein, Smoke has taken to sleeping under the covers between Mommy and Daddy. Not to be separated from his buddy but also ensure speedy get away, Cha-Ching has taken to laying on on the covers on TOP of Smoke. Poor Smoke. He gets scrunched.
3. Chewie is very prissy. She HAS to be brushed every morning. When Mommy and Daddy get ready for the day, Chewie goes into the bathroom with them and gets on the counter and tells them it's time for her brushing. Chewie has her own brush and loves to brush her own face. She's so girlie that last week she even got into Mommy's lotion too. Chewie also loves to steal Mommy's brush blushes and is so infatuated with their toothbrushes that Mommy is considering getting her one of her own.
4. Although Gandalf comes across as very aloof, he is really a big softie. Every night he has to get on the bed and get a tummy rub from Daddy. Oh and did I mention that he cries out like a girl if he gets lonely?
5. Smoke actually likes being handled by Mommy's nieces. Unlike Cha-Ching and I who are smart enough to go hide and Chewie and Gandalf who tend to keep their distance too, Smoke lets them pick him up and carry him around and rarely complains.
6. The furballs like to bring in bits of wood from outside. Mommy rarely discovers them until she steps on them at inconvenient times. It's really funny.
7. The furballs chase snow. Now we rarely get snow here and it usually never sticks but in the last two months we've had a couple of light snows. Today we had big fluffy flakes and Mommy and Daddy cracked up watching the furballs trying to catch the flakes. Me? I stayed in aside all snuggled up in a softee. Yeah, I know I'm the smart one!
Now, I'm pretty sure everyone's been tagged for this, so I'm tagging anyone who hasn't played who wants to.
In other news, Mommy and Daddy went to a party yesterday to celebrate the daughter of a friend finally passing her GED and also to say goodbye to her as she is moving to Arizona next week. Mommy and Auntie Val made the cake for her. Kimberly loves lemon and Tinkerbell so it was lemon cake, lemon filling and lemon icing. It was a lot of lemon, but the Tinkerbell was fun. Mommy and Auntie Val sprinkled the cake with "fairy dust" so it would shimmer in the light. The good thing is that the picture doesn't show that the icing dried out just a little to much for Mommy to be happy and that she didn't get it centered on the board very well. Oh well, it still turned out pretty good.
Mommy had supplies left over but fortunately she has a friend that loves lemon poppyseed so Mommy made another lemon cake and added poppyseeds and the lemon filing to make a lemon bundt cake for dessert tonight. So even more lemon. Good thing Mommy loves lemon too.

Whooohoooo
The Fedex Man just delivered our computer! Mommy was so surprised because she didn't expect it until Wednesday at the earliest and then laughed because they fixed more than just the little recall thing too.
It's been pretty quiet here. Cha-Ching recovered well from his little surgery but still pees in the wrong places at time. Smoke, Chewie and Gandalf are still up to no good most of the time. I'm still the sweet innocent one (he he).
Mom did learn that Auntie Kim is expecting a baby in July. It's too bad she lives so far away that it doesn't seem quite real.
Anyhow, that's about it. We're really happy to be back to catch up on all we've missed.

Thursday Thirteen
So this Thursday, I'm going to list all the things we did while Mom was home:
It's the niece carrying Smoke around (which she does whenever she comes over). The Furballs, especially Smoke, are great with kids and other than a few pleaing looks to save them, put up with all the love and attention that the kids lavish on them.
1. Destroyed the first of what will be many catnip ravioli (hey we made it last two days!)
2. Destroyed a red feather boa (we're working on the pink one still)
3. Napped on the new quilt while Mom worked in her craft room
4. Checked out all the stuff the refrigerator repairman brought when he looked at the refrigerator today.
5. Ran around outside in the rain everytime we could get out the door.
6. Cha-Ching got neutered!
7. Helped Mom with loads of laundry by re-furring them as soon as they came out of the dryer
8. Played with the nieces on Christmas
9. Poo'ed on Aunt Kim's bed (well, in his defense, Cha-Ching did get closed in the room and there was no litter box).
10. Brought more bits of wood in from outside (Mom here: Anybody have any info to share on why the furballs like to carry in small bits of wood? Is it bad for them? Is there any way to stop it?)
11. Helped Mom scrapbook pictures of us and make a thank you card for Pat for the kitty photo book
12. Tried ham for the first time - yum yum - now we know why the Meezers like it so much!
and 13. Got lots and lots of loving and tummy scritches from Mom!
Oh and one other, we helped her pick out pictures for scrapbooking, especially this one:

Secret Santa Paw
Okay so Mom finally got it in gear to get Photoshop re-loaded on the computer (remember she had to wipe it out - well, you got it, she had to re-load everything - including all our pictures and programs) so she could remove the addresses from our Secret Paw pictures (since she forgot to cover them before she took the pictures). We got a great package from Riley and Tiki. We were so surprised that our Secret Paw was someone we already knew and loved! Thank you so much guys! So here we are sniffing out our package:
Then we got to see all the goodies!
Boy we got a haul! All our favorites including Smoke's favorite - a pink boa!
He wasted no time in carrying it off and growling at anyone who dared to come near it. Daddy said that it looked like he had de-feathered a pink flamingo!
Smoke swears he wasn't doing anything, but we know better!

He wasted no time in carrying it off and growling at anyone who dared to come near it. Daddy said that it looked like he had de-feathered a pink flamingo! In new news today, Cha-Ching went to the vet to be neutered today! He wasn't very happy about being separated from his buddy Smoke over night, nor is he very happy to be segregated in his room for the rest of today to recover. Fortunately all went well at the vet today and he's resting comfortably. Here he is coming out of the PTU when we got back from the vet.
Mommy cried on the drive. It reminded her of driving McKenzie to the vet one year ago (it was the Tuesday after Martin Luther King Day last year) to find out why he was having seizures. That was when they put him on Valium and said that there wasn't anything they could do for him except keep him comfortable. She still misses him a lot. Daddy says that it took four furballs to try to make up for losing one McKenzie. I guess that really says it all about just how special he was.
