Spontaneity and a new blade

I had a great night tonight. I had planned to clean up a little to get ready for tomorrow night when Elaine is coming over to play with the Cricut, but my sister e-mailed today to see if I had time to cut some Cricut stuff for her. Well it wasn't really great timing because it's been go, go, go all week and I was kind of looking forward to getting the house cleaned up a little tonight, but I shuffled some stuff around and realized, what does it really matter if the floors are freshly vacuumed? So she came over and we started cutting. Unfortunately things were tearing. I started thinking about the last time that I changed the blade and couldn't remember when that was. So a quick trip off to Walmart with a side trip to the parents and we were back in business. I couldn't believe how quickly everything was cut and done. I guess the moral of the story is that sometimes it's good to be a little spontaneous and sometimes you just have to change the blade. I can't wait until I can start posting some of the stuff I've been working on when Christmas is over. Night all!

WOOT! WOOT! Way to go girlfriend! It 'is' super hard to mix it up when you feel like you 'have' to get stuff done, but look at all the fun we are missing out on? I say yes to more spontinaiety in the new year!!!

This may seem a bit old. My Mother always used ta tell us not to use her "good" scissors for paper an cardboard. We had no idea what she meant. But now that I have "good" scissors" and "common" scissors, I know the difference. And sharpening my "good" scissors reminds me of that.
