Update

Some of you who read this blog are not my family, so I thought I would explain what happened.  Some people know me as Zoey of Zoey and the Furballs.  In fact, Zoey was my 19 year-old tuxie cat and on Wednesday of this week, we had to let her go.  She had heart disease and was no longer able to have a good quality of life.  She couldn't jump anymore, could barely walk at times and had stopped eating.  The vet agreed that it was time and honestly I believe that Zoey was trying to tell me that too.  She slipped over quite easily and now is at peace.  I know this because I believe in the rainbow bridge and we walked out of the vet to find the biggest rainbow I've ever seen.

So I'm not really in a crafting mood right now and the crafts that I will probably do are not ones I'll post because they are to prepare for the upcoming holiday, so you probably won't see a lot of posting from me for a while.

At some point I'm going to have to make a decision if I keep the blog as titled or change it to something new.  I haven't decided if it will be harder to have the constant reminder that she's gone or if having a lasting tribute to her life will bring me more peace.  I guess I'm not really ready to make that decision anyhow.

I just want to say a big thank you to all of those who have already reached out to me with their prayers, love and concern.  Honestly I am actually doing pretty well all things considered.  My recent silence is due to a lingering sinus headache from all the weather changes.  For the last couple of days, I've pretty much only had enough energy to get through work so I can come home and rest my achy head.  Surprisingly it seems like the furballs are taking her passing the hardest as they try to adjust to her absence. So there's lots of extra pats and cuddles here.   Love to you all and I'll see you in the blogosphere when things are a bit more settled.

Oh Kristen, I'm so terribly sorry and so sad for your lost. I remember Zoey being 19 and always thinking WOW! She earned her time to go in a peaceful and kind way. It's gotta be so hard and you being the strong one for Zoey's companions. There's certainly no rust and I, for one, will be here whenever you return. I would love to send you a card but don't have your address. My email is celyinscatattdotnet.
