Last August when Auntie Kim was here, she bought the furballs some feather boas and showed Mommy how to make them into play toys. The furballs have a boa that they can play with but keep invading Mommy's craft cabinet to bring out the extra supplies. After the first time, Mommy tied the bag shut and put it away on a shelf in the closet. They got it back out a few days later and Mommy tied it back shut and put it on the top shelf. This morning, they had gotten it back out of the closet (how do they get on that high shelf?) and were working together to get the bag open.
Smoke took off with the bag to keep Mommy from getting it back.
Then, success! The bag opened and the pink boa came out.
So Mommy was off to Jo-Ann's today for their Moonlight Madness sale. She bought more boas on sale and new plastic box with a locking lid to keep the supplies in:
Smoke immediately started checking it out after she locked the new white, pink and black boas inside.
Chewie came over to help check it out.
They knocked the container over but still couldn't get the boas.
Smoke tried chewing on the box, but that didn't work either.
Pawing at it wasn't working either, but they are determined kitties. I figure the boas, even with the box on the top shelf are safe for a week, tops.

Wow! If you guys figure out how to get into that box with the locking top, please let me know. Our kibbles are stored in one of those.
Your furballs are very determined to get as those boas! Very impressive! Nice job. :)
I wish you wouldn't have given Mommy an idea about getting some of those boxes. Darn!
Wow, you are very resourceful kitties. Good teamwork too! I'm sure it won't be long before you figure out how to undo the box...:) xxx
Nothing is ever safe. Unless its in the garage or something. Good job working furballs!!

Wow, the furballs are very persistent! I am proud of them.
You guys sure are smart kitties. Get them boas. Just push the plastic box of the top shelf - it might break.
Mom bought a bunch of those boxes to keep us outta stuff. Our Hallowe'en costumes are in one an' our "extra" Temptations are in another one. Some squillions are in the third box, an' the fourth box has some of the stockings/presents that we'll be sending for Holiday Secret Paws.
Mom LOVES those boxes 'cuz they require opposable thumbs OR some serious biteys to get open.
She did say that if anyone could get into one of those boxes, it'd be the Furballs 'cuz they're so clever ... an' persistant.

Oh wow! Look at that kitty determination. When you guys get it open let us know! Our Mommy keeps our crunchies in a similiar box because she thinks it is safe from us - we would like to prove her wrong!
Us kitty's are very clever,When will the humans learn.
wow...that's pretty impressive...and diligent!
lucy: how are you doing, cha-ching? can i come to play on saturday?
ben & lucy
Watching you all makes me really want to get into that box, too!
Wow, you guys ARE good. My brother Jake has your determination. Mom keeps our snacks in multiple ziplock freezer bags thinking that would keep him out. He just continues to chew away until he gets what he's after. Mom had to put them in a cabinet where they cannot reach or get into. Do you really think they'll be able to open that box? Wow! How about putting bungey cords around it? My mom would just want to make sure that they couldn't get hurt by pulling at them.
Go, Furballs, Go!!! You're doing great! Momma and Daddy had to get super good at kitty proofing because we're super curious. We ended up with baby locks on all the kitchen cabinets, the bathroom cabinets, on the trash can, and on the fridge. Yep, we're that good. hee hee We also ended up having an Off Limits Room where Momma can keep stuff that's dangerous to us. We can go in there if she's with us, but not by ourselves. Momma sends your Momma lots of hugs because she knows how adventurous and curious kitties can be.
Love,
Tazo
