Chewie the Huntress
Today Mommy and Daddy were stunned when Chewie careened through the kitty door with a flapping birdie in her mouth. She only had it by the tail and it broke free after Chewie had taken only a few steps inside the door. While Mommy wondered how they were going to get it back outside, Daddy tracked it down to where it was hiding on top of a few books in the bookcase and was able to scoop it up quickly. Although it was scared, it seemed unharmed. Daddy released him back outside where the birdie quickly flew away. Chewie, exhausted from her hunting, took a brief nap and then resumed her post under the bird feeder. Mommy now fears that no birdie is safe in our backyard.

nice blog
Chewie, what an amazing hunter you are! Good job. Although I am glad that the bird got away safely.
Good catch!
Wow ... we ummm, we are really bad, we gang up but ummm, we get in time out for hurting birdies. But hey those mean old Blue Jays attack us all the time and swoop and peck our heads. Mean old birds.
That is great it was released without being hurt - we are trying to control our urges and be nice here.
Glad to have you back friends!

PURRS and we can't wait to see how weird your Mama really is, all humans are strange!
How exciting! I NEVER caught a bird before. I have to look at them from the window.
Now that is impressive for a kitten!! Though I have to say grey and white tuxies seem to be incredible hunters. There is one at the barn that is HUGE in girth but always catches the most creatures.

Oh, poor birdie. That's another reason why Mom never lets us out. We have lots of birdie feeders around our yard.
I hope that you don't mind, but Lucky Charmz was really interested in this posting ... He had to leave his own comment for you ...
"AWESOME job wif the huntin', Chewie! I'm furry impressed wif your skills!"

Wow, you CAUGHT one Chewie?!! The closest I ever got to one was on the the dvd Video Catnip. I'm trying to imagine the thrill you must have felt. My mom is glad it got away, but I'm not. We were mad for hunting after all.
and chewie becomes the mighty hunter!
