Book Meme

DaisyMae Maus tagged us for the Book Meme awhile ago. We're sorry we haven't been blogging much because Mom's been so busy with work and is awfully tired.

Here are the rules:

1. Pick up the nearest book.
2. Open to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the next three sentences.
5. Tag five people and post a comment to Team Tabby once you have posted it.

The nearest book was on the bookshelf in the dining room (there are books all over the house but that was the nearest place. The first one she grabbed was Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Mom isn't reading it right now, instead she's reading Olivia Joules and the Overactive Imagination by Helen Fielding, The Cat Who Smelled a Rat by Lilian Jackson Braun and Good Little Wives by Abby Drake. But since all those were farther than the dining room, here are the three sentences from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire:

"Where have the others got to?" Fred, George, and Ginny were nowhere to be seen, though the path was packed with plenty of other people, all looking nervously over their shoulders toward the commotion back at the campsite. A huddle of teenagers in pajamas was arguing vociferously a little way along the path.

I'm pretty sure every cat has been tagged for this meme by now since we are sooooooo late to posting so if you haven't been tagged yet, consider yourself tagged by Zoey and the Furballs!

"A huddle of teenagers"... We loved that. Is it like "a school of fish" or a "clutch of quails"? MOL!

Your mom sounds a lot like our mom - one time she counted and she had 8 different books going at the same time - she now tries to limit herself to no more than 3 at a time.

Perhaps you would enjoy my scathingly funny book, The World Is Your Litter Box, is in bookstores now and is also available on Amazon. The book is cleverly disguised as a cute cat book so humans will buy it, but is, in fact, a how-to manual FOR cats. Check it out on my website, www.theworldisyourlitterbox.com
