Today is a day to remember and give thanks to all those who have put their life on the line to defend America. For all those past and present members of military, we salute you and send you a big purr and lots of headbutts as thanks. Mommy looked through all the pictures that she has on the computer and couldn't find a single one of any of the family in their military uniform and since she still hasn't managed to get a scanner hooked up to the new computer, she didn't have any pictures of family members for me to post. So in a nod to Grandma, who says she knows more about what's going on in our life by reading our blog than by talking to us (sorry), we found this picture of Elvis in the Army for her.

We were looking for pictures on the computer also and, as you saw, when we didn't find what we wanted, we went out to the National Cemetery for Memorial Day. We liked seeing your picture of Elvis!

Lest we forget.
In Canada, we remember all those who gave their lives in service to their country on Remembrance Day, November 11th. We also honour all those who currently serve and who have served in the past on that day.
Great pic! I didn't know that Elvis once served in the army.
